The Boyack family came to AZ last Friday for a visit with the Buckos! Lesa and I have been friends since we were nannies at the same time many years ago. Lesa thought I was about time our families finally met. Luckily U2 was coming to town and that prompted the perfect time for a visit. We had a total blast the whole time they were here and my kids and my and I are really missing them. Here are some highlights of the visit!
The whole clan at the temple!
These two were total peas in a pod! They had a fantastic time together.
Spencer wanting to join in on the fun!
All the good looking kids together:)
Aren't they cute?!
Wowza! Aren't we hot for a couple of old ladies?:)
Jordan being kind and reading to Kristina! ha ha ha

Bike Ride!
Today I called Matt when I went to eat my lunch at work. The kids had a half day at school and I thought I would check in. He asked if he could call me later because he was teaching Sam to ride a bike. Sam has not even offered a little bit of desire to ride so we have never pushed the issue. I had just finished eating quickly and within 15 min of calling Matt I get a pic of Sam riding like crazy up and down the street! Way to go buddy!! Now I know you are all asking what the heck is with the bike??? Since he has never asked to ride he has never received a boys bike. We thought he could try on Riley's old bike. It will be painted his favorite color of yellow and hopefully Santa will bring him a brand spanking new boy bike for Christmas:) We are proud of ya Sam!

Creepy Crawlies!
When we lived in Mesa we had a couple of spiders and the occasional gross bug but that was about it. Since moving to Queen Creek we have seen a multitude of creepy crawling disgusting creatures. We have nothing but desert behind us so I guess it should be understood that it goes with the territory. We have had a couple of giant hairy scorpions, huge beetles, a baby Gila monster, giant grasshoppers and toads, ect. ect. Last night I went to take out the garbage and noticed something on the patio. At first I thought it was a clump of grass but then it moved. It was a HUGE spider. Not a tarantula mind you but a nasty disgusting spider with the leg span as big as my hand. EEEEEWWWWW!!!!! I ran inside and got the Raid and of course the camera and captured some pictures. (I know, I know I didn't put anything next to it to compare so you probably don't think it is very big. Matt has already given my a lecture. Sorry I wasn't going to get that close!) I took a picture that didn't turn out very good then sprayed it with the Raid. Then the stupid things started chasing me! After about a half can of Raid was used it slowed down for me to get this shot. Notice the trail of Raid. It did finally die after trying to get into the house. Now I have been totally creeped out since. Just thought I would share:)

Bono baby!
As many of you who read this know that I have LOVED U2 for many, many moons. We see them almost every time they are in town. Missed only 1 year. When tickets went on sale earlier this year I was sure to get mine. I got decent seats but have always been bummed that I never have been able to get floor tickets. Well that has changed! Today I won floor tickets to the concert next month. Can you say EXCITED?!!!!! Just thought I would share:)

Good ol' house cleaning
To start this off I will tell you that I am a total control freak. Shocking I know. I have to do things my own way and I STRESS when it is done different than what I'm used to. Needless to say I usually do most of the house work by myself. I have felt for sometime now that it is a disservice to the kids because they are not learning to help themselves. Well that changed today finally. I am proud to say that the kids finally learned some good old manual labor to use in their own homes someday. I tell ya it was totally killing me and took much, much longer than normal, but I'm glad I'm finally passing the buck on some of this stuff. Here are pictures to prove it:)
Matt was going to cut the grass and Sam wanted to be just like dad
